This really got me thinking.
Does anyone know of any great sci-fi stories centered around the lengths the universe goes to to prevent a curious time traveler from testing the grandfather paradox.
- schwartzworld 6y agoProbably not what you're asking for, but there's a classic Futurama episode that fits that description https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roswell_That_Ends_Well https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roswell_That_Ends_Well
- gitgud 6y ago[1] Predestination is a good Time Travelling Film, similar to the plot you describe. [1] https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2397535/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2397535/
- JNRowe 6y agoWhile also not quite what you asked for, Ted Chiang's short story "What's Expected of Us" deals with some of the emotional issues of determinism. Oh, and his "The Merchant and the Alchemist's Gate" is a stylistically beautiful exploration of people intertwined through time travel.
- bArray 6y agoI would recommend Steins;Gate as a fun exploration of time travel [1]. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steins;Gate_(TV_series) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steins;Gate_(TV_series)
