- iso1631 6y agoYup, overland. Not many nimbys if you're 20 miles off the coast of NY going to 20 mile off the Singapore coast (not that nimbys would have any say in Singapore), and nobody en-route would even know it's flying overhead. OK you have a 30 minute ride at each end from downtown, but that's not much more than going to JFK/Changi from downtown. 1 hour checkin and 1 hour flight, you're doing end to end in 3 hours rather than 22.
