The Streamdeck is just a fancy macro-pad/programmable keyboard, and those are around in several areas since decades. Especially video- and music-makers have a pretty sophisticated experience there. But But for software-developers I don't really see the value. We alrady do have our tools for managing macros and shortcuts on regular keyboards. Macropads don't really have much value there. Usually the trend is to reduce key-estate and build elaborated layer-interfaces, not expand them and waste desk-estate. Though, I could maybe see some value if there would be support for animations on the streamdeck, and more scriptability.
