After years of nothingburgers, Facebook has been trained to understand that every scandal will quickly blow over and that they can resume business as usual within a month or two. In fact, Zuckerberg's Augustus-inspired methodology is exactly on that sort of general strategy. At the risk of making an inductive fallacy, I do not believe Sandberg to be under any real threat just like all the other times Facebook got caught doing some crappy thing.

- pm90 6y agoI don’t get this sort of sentiment. Just because it didn’t work before doesn’t mean it will never work. When Congress questioned Facebook, the entire Tech industry mocked at the Senators for being (correctly) woefully out of touch. But they didn’t stop questioning them then, and now we have some very well crafted anti trust lawsuits filed against Google and Facebook. This is how change happens: you try repeatedly, learn from every failure and then finally you succeed.
