Twitter Suspends Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene over Election Fraud Claims
- BitwiseFool 6y agoIf a judge can rule that Donald Trump cannot block people from his twitter because it's a violation of the first amendment, shouldn't that mean Twitter cannot block elected government officials? https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/09/us/politics/trump-twitter-first-amendment.html https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/09/us/politics/trump-twitter...
- netizen-9748 6y agoThat ruling was made on the basis that a government official cannot work to infringe upon the speech of a citizen. Twitter is not a governmental entity.
- Simulacra 6y ago"I believe there was fraud in the election." That statement alone should not draw censorship, but on Twitter it can get you suspended, and in my opinion that is absolutely wrong. Sure, it's a private company and "can do whatever it wants" but the same could be said for a LOT of companies, why is Twitter special?
