I actually like AWS' control panel. It's utilitarian to the extreme, but it actually works.
GCP on the other hand has all the hallmarks of a heavyweight JS framework app, including:
- Infinite loading screens
- Very poor error handling
- Extremely sluggish UI (clicks feel delayed)
- Very slow
You can notice this kind of stuff across all of Google's recently revamped properties. For example, I'm on a gigabit connection on an i9 computer and Gmail takes forever to load and if I quickly hit the search box and start typing every 2nd or 3rd character is missed because it's thrashing JavaScript during boot (why is the search box there if it isn't ready?).
