My bulletproof formula for doing estimations in corporate environments:
InternalEstimation = estimate the work as truly as possible (ie. in MD)
ExternalEstimation = double the value of InternalEstimation, and increase units by one order
Example:
1 day (MD) = 2 weeks
2 weeks = 4 months
