Serious question, how is this different from the riots and protests that took place earlier this year? Why is it assumed they wanted to assassinate politicians, when this summer, provocatuers that threw molotovs, rocks, and fireworks at police weren't treated as if they were trying to assassinate police?
This isn't an attempt at flaming, but an honest question I'm open to understanding perspective on.

- SubjectToChange 6y agoPolice aren't usually personally targeted, these politicians were. And the rioters brought rope and plastic handcuffs into the capitol building, which looks a lot like wanting to take hostages.
