Do we know if these kids would have been better off in their own homes? I don't have any statistics here, but one wonders if we can measure the outcomes here. ie, is abusive stability better than what the foster system produces?
- jfrankamp 6y agoRecent research has swung the state child welfare policy pendulum back toward this thesis in my state (Oregon) and a few others I'm aware of., e.g. if the situation isn't totally irredeemable, bio fam is the best in terms of average outcome.
