You only need 2,450M True Fans to be successful
- Akcium 6y agoOnly 2,450M? Not a big deal!
- rusticpenn 6y agoI am not sure if I understand the point, that this (hopefully) sarcastic post is trying to make.
- golondon 6y agoSeriously, what's the point of this post?
- canadianfella 6y agoThis is stupid
- hairofadog 6y agoCounterintuitively, “M” means one thousand, not one million (which is represented by “MM”). However, I’d argue this is a thing where it’s confusing to the majority of people and it’s the language that needs to change, just like flammable/inflammable (both of which, also counterintuitively, mean “will easily catch fire”). Edit: also yeah I agree with folks here – this appears to be an attempt to satirize Zuckerberg in some way I don’t understand
- netzone 6y agoYou're incorrect there. It depends on what context. M as in thousand are roman numerals, whereas M in greek would be million. It's not counterintuitive at all, obviously the context here means that it's million, as you wouldn't note thousands as 2,450M in any way, it'd just be 2450. So the only remaining option is that it means million. It's not even remotely confusing, I'm sorry.
- hairofadog 6y agoRight after I posted my comment I thought, someone is going to explain to me why it’s not confusing that “M” means “thousand” in some contexts but not others. Thank you!
