Hehe, had the same reaction to the name, but when I think about the word for 'computer' in Brazilian Portuguese (which is the one I'm fluent in), it makes more sense: 'computador parceiro'. Still weird phrasing, but... less grammatically challenging :P
- BitwiseFool 6y agoI've studied romance languages and I've always wondered... how jarring is it for a native speaker when grammatical gender is incorrect? In other words, how "wrong" does it sound when someone swaps the o/a on a word? Do you have to stop and think for a split second to make sense of what is being said, or does it still make sense without extra thought?
- fernandotakai 6y agoREALLY wrong. it's like when people say "an university" -- it sounds so so so wrong! you can 100% understand what the person said, but you know it's not right.
- watermelon59 6y agoI get what the person means immediately, but it is quite jarring.
