I found a local group and they denied me, I wasn't "hyper local" I guess you'd say. They said they've been looking for a volunteer to run another group where I'm at (neighboring towns). They said you have to do a training. To run a facebook group? It makes me unsurprised they haven't found anyone. There's a group for my county, as well, with only 2 members (I live in a pretty rural area), which I didn't try to join.
