How high banking skyscrapers have pushed global warming? Why should I pay $50 (about 1000 kWh) for a swift transaction?
- ajuc 6y agoBitcoin isn't a replacement for them in practice.
- psychlops 6y agoWe are supposed to assume it's carbon neutral because it's too complex to calculate.
- umanwizard 6y agoIrrelevant because wire transfers are only a tiny fraction of what banks do. Bitcoin is not a replacement for banking; it’s a replacement for physical gold. A banking system would still have to be built on top of it.
