You don’t think it happens with books? My dad has a house full of books. He isn’t a talk radio guy and doesn’t do the Facebook that the kids are into these days. Instead if you look closely at his library you will find plenty of titles by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Bill Bennett, and on and on. It’s a small percentage of what he reads, but it’s how he gets his ideology and has been for 20+ years.
