Rust should have a GC mode where you can forget about the borrow checker and just write code like in Go, etc. I don't want to invest my time learning a language that only justifies its complexity in certain high performance use cases. If Rust was able to go into a GC mode I'd use it more, and then I'd already know it on those rare occasions performance was critical.
