I don't blame anyone for wanting one language that solves everything. Rust is already good at so many things. I too want Rust and web to be better than it is. My day job consists of a hybrid of Rust/React/JS/CSS/HTML/Ruby/Rails/SQL (in no particular order). I don't like having to remember so much. I would love to see one language be the best at everything, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I'm curious: how does one find such a job? I've been doing mostly front-end work for the past decade and I could use some variety.

  Smaller companies typically have this because they can't afford two separate frontend and backend teams because if they did neither team would have the critical mass to cover staff when on leave.
