  Do you have numbers on this? My assumption is the majority of people use a hosted service for email like Gmail, outlook, fastmail, proto mail, etc and they all have too of the line security when it comes to email. It may be that the majority of emails sent over SMTP are encrypted due to automated systems/spam. But I'd got to think that's not the case for the majority of real human to human communication over email
