I’ve discovered Lua only very recently as it has a good presence in some music making applications for scripting e.g. for the Steinberg HALion sampler/synth and for Native Instruments Creator Tools. And more recently I bumped into the interesting VST/AU plugin called protoplug[1], which makes it easy to experiment with coding audio and midi event processing inside a DAW.
