I cannot emphasize enough how sick I am of Google News and them listing 4 opinion pieces at the top of every story block. If they had a button to filter things they mark as "opinion", I would press it so fast. When I'm reading news for the sake of reading news, I just want facts, not your editorial board sanctioned argumentative commentary.
Bonus headache points if you're The Guardian.
- monkeybutton 6y agoGoogle news has really gone down hill a lot in the last year or so. Constantly recommending stories about Cardi B / random celebrities I care nothing about, creepily recommending stories based on topics I've looked up in Google _search_, and news video clips which I'm not going to watch while commuting are all features that make for a negative experience.
