The art is being showcased on a website, Chrome & Firefox at least support VR, I own a VR headset, and yet I still can't view the art.
- neartheplain 6y agoA database of VR art you can view right now is VRChat. It's free on PC and Facebook's Quest Store. There are tons of custom rooms created by legitimately talented CG artists. I own a Quest (bought pre-Facebook integration), and exploring random VRChat worlds has been a highlight of my VR experience. - kilroy123 6y agoI didn't know about this. Thank you, I'm new to the VR world. Any idea how I could also chat with adults in VRchat? All I've encountered is screaming little kids.
- ourcat 6y agoThe issue with kids is a constant topic on the FB Quest groups. I agree, it really can ruin most multi-player games. Second Life used to have a similar issue iirc, until they created dedicated world for them. The groups are also littered with parents asking about games for their kids (often less than FB's minimum age too). FB really needs to address this issue, for the experiences (like ours) of the adults. And also the protection of the children.
- neartheplain 6y agoUnfortunately, not much advice to offer there- I haven't spent much time in VRChat actually chatting. Another place you could ask might be the r/virtualreality or r/oculusquest subreddits, which are quite active. Adults do have conversations in VRChat; the YouTuber Syrmor runs a "Humans of New York"-type channel of his encounters: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV8Qe8z3RDLiAV7E0WP7-Fg https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV8Qe8z3RDLiAV7E0WP7-Fg This one is particularly poignant, and surreal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMoLKLM8SMg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMoLKLM8SMg
