This summer, I worked pretty hard on a vanilla PHP game engine for generating semi-random, text-based adventures. I haven't touched it in 6 months or so. I really should get back to it. I was having fun on that project.
- speg 6y agoJust yesterday I was daydreaming of quitting my job and throwing all the frameworks and build systems out the window in favour of starting something new with vanilla PHP. Just edit your code and refresh the page. Aaah, the simplicity! I’ve heard PHP8 was just released? I’m going to go read up on that.
- Random_Person 6y agoIt's pretty much one of my favorite things to do. It's wonderful to not have to keep up with dependencies! :-)
