Facebook just have a bigger problem in that their monetisation requires a captive audience which amplifies any groupthink, not just showing people what they might be looking for. Call it the Alex Jones method. Promote a conspiracy theory and monetise the traffic via advertising views, affiliate links or actually selling products that mitigate the effects of conspiracy theory you pushed. All online advertising makes this profitable to anyone and that's what needs to be addressed.
