- jmonegro 15y agoRuby on Rails for the backend, HTML5/CSS3/JS for the front-end. Runs on heroku's and pusherapp's (html5 webhooks api) free plan so hosting it costs $0 and it's pretty fast. Immediately. It's built on open source technology (rails) but the app itself is closed source.
