Neat! Possibly you already know this but "pitch detection algorithm" would be a good search term for looking for alternatives to zero-crossing or FFTs.

- wayvey 6y agoThanks! I sort of assumed that pitch detection would just be FFT so I haven't searched for that yet. I'll take a look, it sounds like it could be the sort of middle ground that would be ideal for this.
