Vancouver Gave Homeless People $5,800. It Changed Their Lives
- xupybd 6y agoI know a homeless guy. He wasn't always homeless. Had a good job had a good house to live in. Then the stress got to him (not a lot he had a low threshold). Now he doesn't want the stress of work or a home. He eats well and gets enough money from the government that he could pay rent but he doesn't want to. I'm not sure how to help him. Or if he wants help.
- randomopining 6y agoWell I mean everybody else is paying for him to survive. Kinda selfish. He should at least get a basic job.
- 4638383474 6y agoSounds like he's ripe to realize all the suppressed potential that UBI advocates are always talking about.
- xupybd 6y agoHe is on the unemployment Benefit here in NZ. It's not loads of money but it's better than many suggested UBI rates
