What features makes it “designed for Linux”?
- vhodges 6y agoMost risc-v cores to date have been more on the micro-controller side of things (ie without an MMU). The cpu on this board has one so it can run Linux.
- nickwanninger 6y agoLikely that it supports the Supervisor execution environment from the riscv spec [1]. This means it can run the typical ring 0 and ring 3 for kernelspace and userspace respectively, and importantly the board supports virtual memory.
