HN users ovewhelmingly prefer that money that could have been spent with AWS now goes to this hosting company so this is good news, I suppose?
Secondly, if that content can be legally hosted there, AWS should find it harder to defend its sudden termination of Parler's account. I think they should be able terminate any customer account as they see fit, but when they do it without reasonable notice they should pay for damage caused.
- ffggvv 6y agoi and many others have taken this as a wakeup call that its not safe to build our companies on someone else's platform. hopefully itll have a big enough effect to hurt AWS in the long term but i guess well see.
