- sanmak 6y agoHey Nice writeup. I usually use this technique sometimes and try to incorporate for few days. I also wrote a blog for same: https://www.boxpiper.com/posts/the-pomodoro-technique-why-what-how-productivity-worksheet/ https://www.boxpiper.com/posts/the-pomodoro-technique-why-wh... Intent was to write and start using it. And it actually works for me.
- toshk 6y agoI enjoy the pomodoro technique and use it often. But one of my biggest pains of the pomodoro technique is if I'm just very deep in a complicated task and I'm supposed to stop for a break, how do you normally address this?
- lizzyliu 6y agoMy suggestion is maybe you can customize the length of your Pomo, which means it doesn’t have to be 25 minutes. Prolonging it to fit your own focus flow, and to do that, you may have to observe first normally for how long your focused time can be. Wish that helps:)
- gandalfgreybeer 6y agoPrimarily my work is writing and coding. When in deep work on something complicated, what I do is not really take a “real”break where I relax. I just stand up (either go to the restroom or drink a glass of water). I will still be thinking about the task or what I’m doing but I just force myself to not look at the screen and I find it helpful.
