Among other things, you're omitting that they beat a police officer to death. I would also be surprised if the only people who felt disturbed by this whole event were "some politicians".
- blisterpeanuts 6y agoWho was the police officer, and what weapon was used? The only report of an officer down was erroneously attributed to someone beating him with a fire extinguisher. The latest information is that there was no fire extinguisher, but instead he suffered some kind of delayed reaction to a gas canister (fired by the police).
- 0xdde 6y agoWhere is this latest information? The articles timestamped today or yesterday still quote two officers saying he was hit in the head with a fire extinguisher. I don't see reference to your last point.
- razius 6y agoInteresting how the media can lie by omission, isn't it? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/father-slain-capitol-officer-hopes-son-s-death-brings-end-n1253686 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/father-slain-capitol-of... "The elder Sicknick said that his son died because of a blood clot in his brain and that "if they had operated on him, he would've become a vegetable." EDIT: Point is he didn't necessary die because he was bludgeoned to death. I would wait for the report before jumping to conclusions.
- blisterpeanuts 6y agoLawOfficer.com says the cause of death is not yet known, at least not publicly known.[1] It seems that he died of a "medical condition", and not having his skull crushed as at least one person on Twitter has stated. 1. https://www.lawofficer.com/family-of-fallen-capitol-police-officer-says-cause-is-unknown-stop-making-it-political/ https://www.lawofficer.com/family-of-fallen-capitol-police-o...

- Gabriel_Martin 6y agoThe same website has, as the top article: "Capitol rioter filmed hitting officer in head with fire extinguisher" Which quotes: "Two law enforcement sources told the Associated Press that Officer Brian Sicknick, 42, was hit in the head with a fire extinguisher, according to The Post. He later died at a hospital Thursday night" Link : https://www.lawofficer.com/capitol-rioter-filmed-hitting-officer-in-head-with-fire-extinguisher/ https://www.lawofficer.com/capitol-rioter-filmed-hitting-off...
- reaperducer 6y agoThe latest information is that there was no fire extinguisher Do you have a link to a reputable source for this? The ones I read still include the fire extinguisher. Also, if you think cops weren't attacked, think again: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/11/us/capitol-mob-violence-police.html https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/11/us/capitol-mob-violence-p...
