- JoeyBananas 6y agoPeople say "Oh you've been deplatformed? They are a private corporation, they have a right to do that. Go start your own platform." Well, that's exactly what Parler was trying to do. It was an alternative for people who got kicked off of twitter. That argument only works when there is no monopoly. Amazon is really digging their own grave here because Parler's argument is highly persuasive
- dragonwriter 6y ago> That argument only works when there is no monopoly. It is possible to host things online without using a cloud vendor like AWS. In fact, I'm hearing all the time on HN on how it's a better idea than using public cloud.
