You can be the most unobjectionable, vanilla and milquetoast organization. It's still desirable to avoid the situation where a single irreplaceable vendor can bottleneck you. I think there has been a bit of hesitation to acknowledge it when there's so little friction to getting on desirable platforms. The risk doesn't feel as real.
