Given the recent post https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25728175 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25728175 I was wondering how hard it would be to predict or brute force scan YouTube video ids, to find private ones. It turns out that they are using 64-bit integers as IDs, allocated in some unspecified order, so scanning all of them is not practical.
