The idea that Biden will take a hard line on China is equally ridiculous. He's been in the federal government since before Mao died. If he was going to take a hard line on China he had decades to do it and never did.

Ignoring that there is no realpolitik for him to have been hard on china while the country was liberalizing, close to 90% of Republicans and a supermajority of democrats thinks China is a strategic enemy of the US - you gain nothing from being soft on china in today's political climate.
