I mean, if ever there were an exception to free speech absolutism, now is the time—the more we learn about the capitol insurrection, the more we realize just how close we came (literally seconds) to a massacre on the senate floor, egged on by the president, and planned openly on these platforms. Its possible to have a discussion about the power of big tech, about their anti-competitive behavior, and lack of democratic oversight, but perhaps those issues should be discussed separately from banning Trump and kicking Parler—which seem like good choices on the part of the companies, even though it was done far too late.
