People would invent more codes if browsers would actually allow MSE.. Safari is today's gate keeper of many things. Just like Microsoft in 90s.

- navanchauhan 6y agoI honestly prefer Safari because the WebKit team deliberates before deciding whether to implement or not. This is evident by their status page.[0] This has its pros and cons, and is up for debate (Eg. Web Bluetooth API[1], another example is how much time it took Apple to implement Google/YouTube's codec). I personally prefer their slow and steady pace as I feel the browser is lighter and more easy on the battery than Chrome and Chromium based browsers. - callesgg 6y agoWhat do you mean? from that thread it seams like they have no intention of implementing web Bluetooth and that seams final.
- navanchauhan 6y agoI believe that was what I was trying to highlight by giving that example. Their strategy is not perfect. This is one of the cons of letting one team decide about the future of the project without letting people challenge their decisions.
