- layer8 6y agoThat’s actually a disconfirmation. He doesn’t pronounce the second syllable as a short “i”, but as a short “u”. The problem is that a short “u” sound is almost nonexistent in English, so native English speakers will pronounce it differently. Edit: Actually the closest in English is probably “linnooks” — “lin” as in “linen” and “nooks” as in “nooks and crannies”.
