I guess he's known for it in the sense that he made a $1000 donation to support prop 8 and a bunch of people overreacted and he had to resign. Really, he's known for a specific controversy around gay marriage.

To clarify, I also think it's overreacting when people oppose interracial marriage. I'm all for people supporting discrimination.         Can you delete all this garbage that I posted? When I'm in a better state of mind, I usually just write this kind of garbage in a text box, and delete instead of hitting reply just so it's out of my head. Had a bad night. Sorry.
