Israel to enter 3rd national lockdown despite successful Covid vaccination
- haspoken 6y agoHow long does it take for the vaccines to be effective? The ones I know about want two doses about three weeks apart, so perhaps a month? The vaccine began arriving in Israel on Dec. 9, or a month ago. It seems to make perfect sense to assume most people are unprotected.
- jfengel 6y agoThe vaccines show some improvement within one week, and get better for several months. Still... you don't want to be the last person to die from a disease that we can cure. In the absence of isolation, even at their rate of vaccination, you'd expect the death rate (not just the toll) to increase for at least a month and a half after vaccinations begin.
