The solution to bad speech is good speech, not censorship.
- kristofferR 6y agoTrue. The banwave will unfortunately encourage even less honest debate, just even more siloing of opinion. Non-political and left wing thoughts stay on Twitter, while right wing thoughts are being forced into increasingly extreme environments. It's pretty clear that many will soon move to platforms designed to be resilient to moderation.

- trthomps 6y agoWe've been doing this for 20 years, it's only gotten worse. Good speech is losing and information reality has forked. We can't fix this by letting it ride.
