Would be a shame if the Parler CEO literally refused to moderate his platform even when warned of the consequences multiple times.
Nooo! Amazon HAS to let me use their business! The first amendment says so!!!!!
- daenz 6y agoCould you explain what this has to do with my point please, as I haven't defended Parler nor have I criticized the deplatforming?
- tyrust 6y agoIf you aren't referring to Parler or deplatforming then you have either posted in the wrong thread on accident or are throwing out some really low-effort bait.
- daenz 6y ago>If you aren't referring ... deplatforming You are misrepresenting me. I said I didn't criticize their deplatforming, not that I am not commenting on deplatforming. My point, since we seem to be intentionally missing it to instead construct strawmans (prions comment) or throw around accusations of bad faith (your comment), is that there is a danger in turning deplatforming into a weapon that criminals can use against people who are unable to afford to hire teams of effective moderators.
- tyrust 6y ago>I am not commenting on deplatforming. >there is a danger in turning deplatforming into a weapon Seems like a comment to me.
- amanaplanacanal 6y agoWhen and if that actually happens, we will have to figure out some way to deal with that problem.
- tyrust 6y ago(Attempt 2) >I said I didn't criticize their deplatforming Saying that something is at risk of being weaponized is pretty close to criticism imo.
