Guess what? Ford F-150 rear windows shatter spontaneously too. It's a known problem, truck owners hope it happens before the warranty runs out because otherwise they're on the hook for a $1000 replacement.
Why is this on HN?
- FireBeyond 6y agoBecause with the F-150 there's recalls, a class action, and a lawsuit around that exact issue. With Tesla? There's "FUD!", "this is normal", "to be expected from time to time", "overblown issue".
- jhayward 6y agoI have a 2018 F-150. There are no class actions or recalls related to the rear window that I can find via Google or the NHTSA recall registry. Can you provide the information you describe above?
