The problem with bullshit is that bullshit artists will switch around any arguments against them and use them back. For large segments of the population their inability to think logically hampers them from differentiating bullshit from facts so they just go with whatever their tribe is doing.
- dragonsky 6y agoso it comes down to education. Without an properly educated population who have been taught and encouraged to think for themselves we are at the mercy of those who peddle falsehoods for their own benefit. It's not enough to have a commentator say that something should or should not be believed, the public themselves needs to have the tools to be able to weigh and verify and come to their own conclusions. There will of course be some who regardless of education will be lead, but we can do a lot better than we currently are.
