China bans firms from complying on Chinese companies
- stevespang 6y agoI guess that depends on whether or not Chinese companies have any exposure or "nexus" within the territorial jurisdiction of the US, if so, CCP can whine all they want but US courts will allow seizure of Chinese assets on American soil promptly. Also blocking of Chinese apps via blocking responsible servers is probable, but difficult to achieve as per Russia blocking Telegram. They <could> try to hide behind cloudflare but courts will promptly serve cloudflare to cease and desist. I am in the camp that believes the Chinese are data mining privacy sensitive data from US citizens via their apps.
