Incredibly stupid to ban him at this point. The storming of the Capitol was a dangerous event, but could've been the apex event of the Trump supporters. The whole movement should've been let to slowly fizzle away - now they've been dealt yet another very public embarrassment and the tug of war will continue. This has all the chances of becoming a case file for naive interventionism.
