Does anybody else understand how DoorDash isn't swimming in money? They seem to extract value from every side of the transaction, underpaying drivers, stealing tips, charging the restaurants fees, charging the customers fees, and yet still somehow only posted a (tiny) profit for the first time last November (which, given Covid, seems to be driven more by larger economic trends rather than soundness of business model). Do they just spend all that money on developers and advertising?
