  Deeper pockets than AMD. All other assumptions holding true, Intel doesn't need to outrun the bear...

    The pockets aren’t deep enough... TSMC knows Intel is a competitor which AMD isn’t so any deal they’ll sign will be temporary at best. They aren’t exactly struggling to find customers as every wafer they have is spoken for 6 times over. If anything at least as far as TSMC goes Intel would have to pay through the nose for any capacity.
