Because any congressperson who votes against impeaching this man will forever have this on their voting record.
No matter how much whitewashing, gaslighting or whatabouting they do, at re-election time they will have it clearly on their voting record whether or not they chose to support this man AFTER January 6.
- AnimalMuppet 6y agoFair point. I'd feel better about it if I thought the Democrats were doing it because they thought it important on principle to establish that, rather than doing it because they think it's likely to give a bunch of Republican politicians problems in their primaries.
