GM unveils new logo to emphasize its pivot to electric vehicles
- 908B64B197 6y agoLogo looks like a teen designed it for the smartphone app he was working on in his garage 7 years ago. If I ever buy a GM, I still expect to get a rebate by showing my tax returns at the dealership, considering the amount of bail out money they received.
- medium_burrito 6y agoReminds me of when BP made their logo a green and yellow flower and rebranded as "Beyond Petroleum". It's like yeahhhhhh, sure, is that really gonna fool people?
- jjk166 6y agoYou know a company is run by a bunch of MBAs when a pivot in the face of a very successful competitor is a new logo.
- MyHypatia 6y agoThe CEO is an engineer. Also, there is a lot more happening at GM than just a logo change. GM owns Cruise since 2016 and they have a line of EVs they have been selling world wide for many years now.
- totalZero 6y agoMary Barra is an electrical engineer. Wesley Bush was CEO of Northrop Grumman and holds an engineering MS from MIT. It's not the logo that matters, it's the pivot that it highlights. BTW, if you've ever worked with engineers then you know that the best engineers are often entirely clueless about business.
- jjk166 6y agoMary Barra got her MBA in 1990 from Stanford. Having an engineering degree doesn't mean you're not an MBA.

- bsradcliffe 6y agoThis is so bad. Hahahahaha.
- drannex 6y agoThis logo is garbage, I can't mince words about that. Looks like an obscure chinese/japanese app company logo.
