It's kind of tricky. UFI does mention 1.25MB, but the table states again "3.5 inch". So, yes, if you want to format your 1.44MB capable 3.5 inch disks as 1.25M

So, yes, if you want to format your 1.44MB capable 3.5 inch disks as 1.25MB you can. But still not the 5.25 inch disks the OP is requesting.
