How? Compression is not free, no matter where you put it, someone has to decompress it again.
Are you talking about some exotic SATA controller or other hardware that does that?
- MaxBarraclough 6y agoNo I was thinking of modern filesystem compression solutions. They offer relatively poor compression ratios, but computationally efficient decompression.
